What is vermicomposting?
The process of cultivation of earthworms to convert organic waste into fertilizer is called vermicomosting or vermiculture. This process is performed using various species of insects, usually to create a mixture of decomposing red vigilers, white insects and other earthworms, vegetables or food waste. It feeds on debris, manure, rotten plant parts etc. and ferments it. Insects feed on organic waste and produce nutrient -rich manure in the form of emissions.
